Current activities and research processes in Slovakia for PR3 aim

The Matej Bel University team (Slovakia) is starting their active participation in PR3 partial aim of the e-SL4EU project in September 2022. Regarding the previous period (November 2021 -August 2022), the Slovak team has accomplished several intra-faculty benefits: 3 different Matej Bel faculties increased cooperation; information about the project rationale was located in three web locations, and e-SL potential was promoted at various faculties of Matej Bel University.

As of September 2022, the Slovak team is elaborating on a survey questions structure (so-called mapping
phase) that will serve as a database for the Survey questions, later transformed into a Guide for community partners. The Guide will be essential to help them to understand the definition of e-SL, community partners’
responsibilities and authorities. The Guide will also check their readiness for the e-SL activities and other fundamental details.

The timeline for PR3/A1-4:

§  PR3/A1: Mapping (September 2022 – February 2023).

§  PR3/A2: Preparation of draft version Guidelines (April – October 2023); February 2023 – Planned meeting in Roma: We will organize the structural aspects, and partners will make plans for the follow-up national surveys.

§  PR3/A3: Piloting the guideline with community partners. All partners will be responsible for collecting feedback on the guideline from community partners. At least 250 students will carry out the e-SL projects, involving at least 60 community organizations; each community organization can involve more than one student (November 2023 – April 2024).

§  PR3/A4: Evaluating the feedback and preparing the final version of the result (May – July 2024; possibly earlier: April – June 2024)

The Slovak team is also working on Unit 3 related to the Quality elements (QE), ensuring that participants can explain the e-SL quality elements, creatively adapt e-SL quality elements in different situations and implement e-SL quality elements in planning their course. In order to do so, a set of case studies will be prepared, and the participant´s ability to identify quality elements will be tested. As a result, our potential community partners will gain a good command of skills and information to check their readiness to get involved in an e-SL project.
